Joseph Daniel Washington, age 69, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at his residence.
He was born Sunday, January 3, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Percy and Viola Merch Washington.
Joseph enjoyed target shooting, making ammunition and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Percy “Eugene” Washington and one sister, Sharon Kay Stewart.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruie Miller Washington; one son, J.J. Harris, Jr., of Olive Hill, Kentucky; several grandchildren; one brothers, Kenny Washington of Columbus, Ohio; four sisters, Bessie Washington, Judy Dalton, Monica Roy and Penny Washington all of Columbus, Ohio; his mother in law, Pauline McCalvin, of Grayson, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Kentucky, with Brother Kyle Burchett officiating. Burial will follow in East Carter Memory Gardens, in Grayson, Kentucky.
Friends may after 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2023, until the service hour at Grayson Funeral Home.
Joseph’s family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
