Carl Hugh Williams, age 84, of Carter City, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation in Grayson, Kentucky.
He was born Monday, June 12, 1939, to the late Ernest and Gertie Lee Williams.
Carl was an Elder of Carter Christian Church, where he loved going to church. He enjoyed watching westerns, especially Gun Smoke, UK Basketball and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Alberta Parker Williams; three brothers, Jesse Williams, James Williams and Robert Williams; four sisters, Francis Williams, Ruth Gavitt, Anna Higgs and Carma Coils.
Carl is survived by one son, Jeffery Williams and his special friend, Teresa Lawless of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two daughters, Carla (Dale) Caudill of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Patsy (Richard) Slone of Grayson, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Thomas (Bobi), Scott (Missy) Caudill, Adrienne (Kyle) Lubert and Adam Slone; five great grandchildren, Mahaila Lubert, Cameron Caudill, Chander Caudill, Marissa Caudill and Matthew Caudill; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Geneva Stallard of Chicago, Illinois; the best friend that a person could have, David Carper; a very special nephew who was always there for him, Bill Williams, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Terrell Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Nolty Cemetery in Carter City, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, October 30, 2023 and after 9 a.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2023, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Thomas Caudill, Scott Caudill, Chandler Caudill, Cameron Caudill, David Carper and Bill Williams will serve as pallbearers.
