Mrs. Linda Alene Roe Hanshaw, age 72, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 15, 1950, in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Mick and Gladys Wells Roe.
She enjoyed cooking, working in her flowers, canning, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Hanshaw and one grandson, Craig Birchfield.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Butch Hanshaw; one son, Wes (Angie) Hanshaw of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Melissa Bailey of Olive Hill, Kentucky; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Roe of Pensacola, Florida; Mike Roe of Paintsville, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon, Saturday, June 3, 2023, at her residence at 1175 State Highway 3298, Olive Hill, Kentucky,with Brother Gary Michael Roe officiating. Burial will follow in the Hanshaw Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
