Loretta Marie Pierce Sawdo, age 58, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was born Wednesday, May 4, 1966, in Rowan County, Kentucky, to the late Kenyon “Kenny” Leo and Bonita “Bonnie” Smith Pierce.
She enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, working puzzles and going out to eat. Loretta loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Loretta is survived by her loving husband of ten years, Craig Sawdo; one brother, Kenny Lee (Shirley) Pierce of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two sisters, Katrina Pierce Khan of Owingsville and Dana Pierce of Richmond, Kentucky; nieces and nephews, Kenneth Pierce, Taylor Pierce, Shawn Sellers, Jakob Sellers, Levi Sellers, Harper Johnson and Kennedy Johnson, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2024, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Sherman Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Upper Flat Fork Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2024, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Kenny Lee Pierce, Joseph Dyer, Chadwick Dyer, Mike Logan, John Nolen, J.J. Johnson and Taylor Pierce will serve as pallbearers.
