William “Bill” King, age 62, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Tuesday, December 4, 1960 in Grayson, Kentucky to Wylie Edmond and Julia Cooper King of Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Bill was employed at James Hardware for 16 years. He loved wood working, mowing grass, riding his golf cart, helping Randy do electrical work and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Tracy King and a sister, Nadine Hedge, one nephew, Phillip Leadingham and one niece, Rebecca Hedge.
Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years, Regina Garvin King; a son, William Jacob King; two daughters, Jennifer (Jordan Mabry) King; Megan King; three grandchildren, Luke Dean, Kyler Mabry, A.J. Mabry all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three brothers, Larry (Barb) King, James “J.D.” (Robin) King; Karl (Traci Jo) King, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three sisters, Sue Phillips of Amgurst, Ohio; Lousie Callihan and Kathy (Sam) Bailey, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Donald Kay and Loretta Hedge Garvin; one goddaughter, Heather Leadingham, along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West U.S. Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Gary Sparks and Brother Terry Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the King Cemetery, Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023 and after 9 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Globe Funeral Chapel Kentucky, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Tony James, Randy Steagall, Wayne Jones, John Dailey, Charles Logan and Moe Crawford will serve as pallbearers.
Donald Kay Garvin, Jordan Mabry, William J. King, Luke Dean, Rick Kiser, Marvin Gearheart and Danny Lowe will serve as honorary pallbearers.
