Phyllis Ann Bocook Tackett, age 80, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Thursday Morning June 6, 2024 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was born November 25, 1943 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late Bo Bocook and Cora Reed Bocook.
Phyllis was a Christian and attended Pleasant Valley Tabernacle and later Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church in Olive Hill, KY. She loved to take pictures and enjoyed spending time on Facebook.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years Virgil Ray Tackett in 2021; one sister, Sheila Bocook and two brothers Tommy Duncan and Gregg Bocook.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Brenda Wilson and her husband Mike and Sherry Rae Tackett both of Olive Hill, KY; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joyce Justice and her husband Harry of Olive Hill, KY and Karen Logan both of Olive Hill, KY; one brother and Kavon Bocook and his companion Angela of Emmerson, KY; two grandchildren, Dwayne and his wife Jessica Burton of Frankfort, KY, Delmas David Harris of Olive Hill, KY; three great-grandchildren, Lexi, Larissa, and Kensley. She is also survived by two special friends Joyce Callahan and Judy Nolan. In addition to these she is survived by a host of relatives and friends that will cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church with Bro. J.C. Bond and Bro. Randy Binion Officiating. Burial will follow in the Tabor Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM-2:00 PM Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church, 2622 State Hwy. 2078, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
